STATEMENT ON THE FUTURE OF ASCENDING LIGHTS

In February of 2022, Ascending Lights Founders Gary and Marjorie Krauss informed the Board of their intent to retire after 30 years. For more than five years, we have been working on a transition plan in anticipation of the Founders’ retirement. No viable opportunities have emerged. For this reason, the Board of Directors voted on October 12 develop a plan and timeline to dissolve the Agency after our existing students have finished the Summer Semester of 2025. Gary will continue to lead Ascending Lights as its President and Chief Executive through this transition period. Ascending Lights has sufficient cash reserves to fund operations and provide full support to our students through the summer semester of 2025. Funds remaining with be donated to another nonprofit organization aligned with Ascending Lights’ mission.
